Laurence Guy has been throwing parties since his teens in Guildford, a DIY spirit he still channels through free daytime raves at his local pub in Stoke Newington. Known for creating warm, emotive dance music - “music to make you feel feelings” - he blends nostalgic samples, lush chords and euphoric energy, shaped by early influences of drum ’n’ bass, UK dubstep and the chaotic house parties where he first learned to DJ. Too young for clubs, he cut his teeth at squat raves and eventually at Plastic People’s legendary FWD>> nights, experiences that formed his reactive, crowd-driven approach.

A producer since his early teens, Guy builds tracks from charity-shop samples collected on tour. He’s released two acclaimed albums - Saw You For The First Time and Living Like There’s No Tomorrow, But Killing Yourself In The Process - and appeared on labels from Studio Barnhus and Ninja Tune to Shall Not Fade and Church. Deeply rooted in UK rave culture, his recent tracks have exploded across dancefloors, with songs like Hey Baby and Most Perfect People (Are Mostly Not Perfect) contributing to more than 60 million streams. Now signed to Future Classic, he’s embracing a more spontaneous, immediate release style, putting out hip-hop- and filter-house-inspired dance tracks made for pure, feel-good moments.
