About
Ruth Ellis was the last woman to be hanged in Britain. In A Fatal Love , Louisa Treger reimagines her story as she awaits trial for murdering her lover. Alongside Ruth is Kitty Carrington, assistant to her defence lawyer, determined to secure a fair trial despite a flawed justice system.
In Mrs Pearcey , Lottie Moggach takes readers to Victorian Camden, where a young journalist investigates her neighbour, accused of a sensational murder. As she uncovers overlooked evidence, she begins to question whether the woman condemned by the press is truly guilty. The novel also explores the origins of Britains fascination with true crime.
Louisa Treger, author of four novels, and Lottie Moggach, novelist and journalist, will be in conversation with Jo Durrant, discussing the real cases that inspired their fiction, the women behind the headlines, and why stories of crime and justice continue to captivate readers.
