For the fifth year running, Dad La Soul are throwing down a funky, family-friendly block party of hip-hop, funk, and soul.
Picture the New York block parties that birthed hip-hop in the seventies. Music doing what policy never could. Now fast-forward that energy into a family space, without making it soft, worthy, or beige.
Expect heavyweight DJs, live singers, MCs, and dance battles. Expect kids’ entertainment that respects kids. Expect live art happening in front of you. Expect a licensed bar for grown-ups who need a minute.
This is for new dads, knackered dads, mums, nans who love raving, kids who never stop moving, and kids who need space. This is not a children’s party with music added. It’s a cultural moment where, no matter your age, colour, or bank balance, you are welcome.
