About
Guy Lloyd's Radio Blah Blah is a live show with a twist! Incorporating a broadcast studio and a live performance space, Guy is turning radio up to '11', with an exciting and immersive event for the good people of Brighton (Hove too!).
Remember The Tube? TFI Friday? This is the radio equivalent. Live performances from bands, solo artists, comedians, poets, you name it, anything could happen on this show. Alongside the live performances, there'll be interviews with big names from across the city and beyond, all in front of a live audience. That live audience being you. And your friends. And family. And possibly, domestic animals (although wed take non-domestic).
This month we welcomeFare, Jed & patients
Using delicate and honest story-telling,FARE brings out a certain vulnerability when performing her music live. The captivatingly beautiful sonic landscapes through reverb-drenched guitar loops provide a luscious backdrop to thoughtful lyricism. Said to have an "open and effortless" style, FARE accompanies emotive, ethereal vocals with ambient guitar. Over the last 8 years FARE has performed at festivals including Glastonbury and The Great Escape.
Brighton-based artistJED is usually found scribbling stories into his notepads or telling them on stage alongside his eclectic jazz-infused HipHop band. His cutting writing & distinctive sound has been generating a local buzz, being labelled as a highlight of Homegrown Festival by Brighton & Hove News.
Brighton'spatients are Aurore Sommer (bass & vocals) Emily Powell (drums & vocals) and Tim Harbridge (guitar & vocals)... Classic indie pop delivered with that unmistakable 3 piece punch.
This is a night not to be missed. Previous shows have sold out very quickly, so book your ticket now and come and join us for a night of joy, merriment and great hair.
