About

Republic of Dogs (and Other Tomfoolery) is a contemporary Brighton art exhibition by Wednesdays Child.

Child psychologist by day and self-taught queer artist otherwise, award-winning Rosie returns after quietly spreading colour, chaos and emotional confusion across Brighton’s creative scene over recent months.

Funny, tender, loud and strangely relatable, Rosie’s tactile and sensory universe sits somewhere between cartoon therapy, queer folklore and emotional survival instinct.

For the first time, 14 original works are presented together in one place, alongside vibrant giclée prints available throughout the exhibition.

A rare opportunity to experience the prolific world of Wednesdays Child gathered under one roof at The Vault on Brighton seafront — supporting both a living local artist practice and the year-round creative structures sustaining artists in the city.

Expect humour.
Expect feelings disguised as dogs.
Expect one of the most joyful closings of the spring season.
