Richard Durrant: Music for Midsummer

About

A wonderful live music event for acoustic and classical guitar lovers and the musically curious. Featuring Richard’s original, haunting guitar music including his newly released track The Art of Levitation.

Richard will also play music from the High Baroque, the English Baroque and (in a fascinating homage to John Renbourn & Martin Carthy) the English Folk Baroque.

Durrant’s intriguingly unpretentious style of delivery should not belie the emotional depth of his music; witness the onstage persona of an informative, friendly stand-up and the playing of one of the world’s most inventive, guitar virtuosos.

Sit back and enjoy Richard’s annual musical celebration of the Summer Solstice.

As heard live on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6 Music.
