The Afghan Whigs

About

The Afghan Whigs were a seminal part of the 90’s alt rock explosion in America and were amongst the first bands to be snatched up by iconic label Sub Pop.

Formed in 1986, the band announced their arrival to the world two years later with the release of their debut album Big Top Halloween. This was followed by the further titles Up In It, Congregation, Gentlemen, Black Love and 1965.
Following a 16 year hiatus of new material, the band released their critically acclaimed and Top 40 album Do To The Beast in 2014.
