The Howl & The Hum is the acclaimed indie project led by York songwriter Sam Griffiths, renowned for its emotionally rich storytelling, cinematic soundscapes and unforgettable live performances. Blending indie rock, folk and alternative pop with lyrical honesty, the band first broke through with their critically praised debut album Human Contact before returning with the deeply personal Same Mistake Twice. Their songs explore love, loss, hope and human connection with wit, warmth and striking vulnerability, earning comparisons to artists such as The National, Bon Iver and Frightened Rabbit. Whether performing intimate acoustic moments or soaring anthems, The Howl & The Hum delivers a live show that is both powerful and deeply affecting.
