Meet outside the Millennium Seedbank
Tour of the Millennium Seedbank: a behind-the scenes tour of one of the world's largest seed conservation projects
Tiny Seeds, Big Stories: join Alice and Isabel, our seed scientists, to learn about their global and local work with seeds
Walk through the gardens to the education tent in the Pinetum woods: wander through Wakehurst's Ecosystem Observatory gardens where we have our annual BioBlitz. This is where we will break for lunch.
BYO Picnic lunch 13:30 - 14:00: Enjoy sitting and eating together in the Pinetum woods and being surrounded by ancient trees from around the world.

What is a BioBlitz? Eliana will demystify what a BioBlitz is and how you can get involved
Young Scientist: Josef talks about and his wobbly line journey to a career as a young scientist at Kew working on pollination projects
BioBlitzing & Bugs: Peter a freelance bug specialist (Entamologist) shares his nature nerd journey identifying insects for the BioBlitz
BioBlitzing & Bats: Ryan joins us from the Knepp Estate to tell us about bat detecting, surveying and mammal monitoring
Learning at Wakehurst: find out about our educational activities from Julie who heads up our learning team
Nature activity: enjoy and activity run by Lynn one of our Forest School Teachers
END 16:00: Explore the Gardens : explore the gardens to your hearts content
Ages 14-25 (under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
