About
This gorgeous spot on the stunning Firle Estate, near Brighton is similar to our original site, Westerlands. A large open field with plenty of space to play, relax and make new friends each evening while you dine on delicious freshly-cooked food at long tables under the stars.
Beautifully-crafted hot showers and regenerative toilets; incredible views of the South Downs and freshly-prepared meals cooked every night over fire. There’s lots of space, big (dark) skies, lovely views and generous pitches, as well as a great little wooded area with dens and a swing to play in.
If you’re a seasoned camper with all the gear, great. If not, we have prepitched touareg tents available to hire so you can try camping out or pitch alongside friends.
Chapel Field is an ideal spot to stay on foot. Stunning walks surround us – the South Downs Way is close by, explore the historic Firle estate, or if you just want to mooch there is so much to do!
A few fields away, you’ll find the chocolate box village of Firle; lovely little cottages, hollyhocks, a great pub and a shop and post office straight out of the 1940s! A fantastic playground with a zip-wire sits conveniently just behind the pub and if you’re lucky, you’ll hear the gentle thwack of leather on willow from the nearby cricket ground.
Chapel Field is ideal for families and small groups of friends. For larger groups Woodfire has a private-hire field, The Round Hill, nearby: https://www.woodfire.co.uk/woodfire-firle-private-events/.
Chapel Field accepts tents and small campervans. The site is easily accessible from Lewes, Brighton and London.
