Once you have the accommodation booked then check out our guide of what to do for 72 Hours in Brighton & Hove:
Day 1
Morning
Start your trip to Brighton with a flight on the British Airways i360. The city's newest attraction takes visitors over 135 metres into the air for spectacular panoramic views of the city, the sea and the countryside. From here you can see all the sights and start to plan what you want to see & do during your stay.
Next stop is Sea Life Brighton, the country's oldest aquarium. The Victorian architecture is very impressive and there is the opportunity to view giant turtles & sharks from above or below in the Underwater Tunnel and the Glass-Bottomed Boat.
Pop on to the iconic Brighton Palace Pier for a traditional seaside lunch of fish 'n' chips but watch out for the seagulls! Stay on the pier to play some arcade games and funfair rides, make sure you try your hand at the Dolphin Derby.
Afternoon
Hop on the Volks Railway (summer only) and ride the electric train along the seafront, be sure to give the pedestrians a friendly wave as you trundle past.
Hop off at the Yellowave Beach Sports centre to experience the only spot of sand on Brighton beach! At Yellowave you can try your hand at any beach sports from volleyball to beach tennis or even ultimate frisbee.
Evening
Carry on heading east from Yellowave and you will arrive at Brighton Marina which is so much more than just a place to park your boat! There's a cinema, bowling alley, casino and lots of shops & restaurants so why not relax and enjoy a delicious meal with stunning waterfront views?
Day Two
From the i360 you'll have seen some of the stunning countryside of the South Downs National Park so today it's time to get closer! Hop on a bus and breeze up to the Downs heading out to Devil's Dyke, Ditchling Beacon or Stanmer Park. The Downs are a fantastic spot for country walks or off-road cycling; if you don't fancy exploring by yourself then So Sussex run guided activity sessions in the countryside.
Afternoon
Before returning to the city centre include a visit to the picturesque village of Rottingdean. This charming, traditional English village was once the home of Rudyard Kipling and today visitors can stroll though the Kiplings Gardens and find out more about the author's life at The Grange.
Evening
Enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants along the seafront with stunning views of the beachfront, many serving locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
Day Three
Morning
No trip to Brighton is complete without a trip to the exotic Royal Pavilion, the Prince Regent's former home. The palace looks like a mini Taj Mahal on the outside but once inside you will be transported to The Orient.
Across the Regency styled Pavilion Gardens you will find the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, home to a range of fantastic displays including local history; art deco furniture and fashion through the ages. They also host a regular programme of temporary exhibitions so make sure you check the Whats On listings to see what's coming up.
Afternoon
Brighton is a shopper's paradise, take a stroll through the vibrant North Laine, full of independent shops selling anything & everything. This is a particularly good spot for fans of vintage shopping as well as fantastic street art.
After the North Laine cross North Street and head into The Lanes. The famous twisting alleyways were once home to the sleepy fishing village of Brighthelmstone. Today you will find jewellers, antiques and designer boutiques.
Evening
After enjoying a delicious dinner in either the North Laine or The Lanes why not return to the Cultural Quarter to take in a show at the Theatre Royal or the Brighton Dome. The Theatre Royal hosts big theatrical productions including pre-West End shows. Brighton Dome has an eclectic programme of classical & contemporary music; comedy and dance.
