No trip to the city is complete without a visit to the iconic Brighton Palace Pier and you'll find the pier offers loads of family restaurants, cafes, rides and arcades to keep kids big and small entertained. Younger kids will love the Palace Play soft play area along with the cup & saucer and the carousel rides. For older thrill-seekers there's the Booster, Waltzers and the Horror Hotel.

Sea Life Brighton offers a fun and educational family day out whatever the weather. With over 150 species and 57 displays, you will be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable day for the whole family. Don’t miss the underwater tunnel! The Royal Pavilion is one of the most dazzling and exotic buildings in the British Isles. A great educational day out for the kids that Mums and Dads can enjoy too. If you head over to Brighton Marina you'll discover GLOBALLS ® where crazy golf is even crazier!

The Brighton Zip is a 300-metre dual zip wire (the longest on the South Coast) and also features a 24 metre drop for the real adrenline junkies! After you've whizzed along the seafront check out the Brighton Zip food court for a variety of seaside goodies including Fish 'n' Chips and ice cream. Alternatively why not learn something new with a Brighton Watersports kids club session? Lessons take place at Piddinghoe, a private, gated lake just outside of Brighton.

Sussex Attractions

Drusillas Park is the best small zoo in Europe. The park is a great fun day out for all the family with hundreds of exotic animals to meet from meerkats to monkeys and pandas to penguins. There are also lots of rides including Flying Cheetahs and the Safari Express train. Wakehurst is another attraction just outside of the city and is a great place to let the kids run wild in the natural play spaces including the Treetrunk Trek plus there is a programme of family-friendly events throughout the year.
