The world’s oldest working electric railway; built in 1883 and running for one and a quarter miles along the top of the beach from the Aquarium Station near Brighton Pier to the Marina. Trains every 15 mins.

Please note: Due to ongoing seafront upgrades near our line, we will be operating to and from Halfway Station only until further notice. Black Rock Station will remain closed for now..

Our standard opening times during the 2022 season are:

TUE    10.30 – 17.15

WED   10.30 – 17.15

THU    11.30 – 17.15

FRI      10.30 – 17.15

SAT     10.30 – 18.15

SUN     10.30 – 18.15

Sometimes our operations need to change (particularly when it’s inclement weather). To be sure that we are running when you wish to visit, please phone us directly on 01273 292 718.

Prices from Aquarium Station:

Children under the age of 3 can travel for free.

Discounts are available for group bookings, 10 minimum.

Dogs are very welcome and there’s no additional charge for them.
