Set against the glittering yet dangerous backdrop of Berlin in 1925, this debut play by Samuel Milletti
explores love, survival and longing in a city alive with possibility and peril.
This tense, funny and seductive play follows Raymond, an idealistic English visitor as he is drawn into Berlin's dazzling cabaret underworld. There he meets Ernst, a magnetic performer whose charm masks a life shadowed by fear and violence. As desire deepens between them, the pair risk everything for a forbidden relationship in a society where danger lurks behind every glittering curtain. Trapped between passion, survival and the threat of Ernsts abusive lover, Raymond and Ernst must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice for freedom and each other.
