Deacon Brodie isnt that well known out of Edinburgh. Yet he inspired Robert Louis Stevenson to write Jekyll and Hyde. Similarly, Stanley isnt that well known outside of Stockport. Yet hes campaigned with Napoleon AND been up Everest with Mallory. Maybe. Perhaps.

By day, in the 18th Century, Deacon Brodie was a respectable cabinetmaker and councillor. Whereas by night, he was a masked burglar in Edinburgh's Old Town. Somehow, Stanley gets roped into his escapades. And he could flipping well swing for it. In public!

Andy Dickinson is a writer, performer, and producer. His play Shackleton and his Stowaway was published by Methuen. It was an Ed Fringe Sold Out show in 2018, and also Sold Out at Park 90, London, in 2020. For 2022 he created/adapted Tam O'Shanter, Tales & Whisky, featuring the 'Gothic' poems of Robert Burns. It played at the Traverse, The Gaiety Theatre, and The Brunton Theatre, in Scotland.
