It’s the final party of the summer - and we’re doing it in style, with the legendary Marcia Carr. Marcia is often known as “the DJ’s DJ” and after four decades in the game, she knows how to get a dancefloor moving. She’s DJ’d all over the world, as well as being a regular in her hometown of London, at places like The Jazz Café, Soho House and Oslo. She’s appeared on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, alongside long-running residencies on Rinse FM, Mi-Soul and The Boat Pod.

Her sound is 100% feel-good, blending elements of deep house, Afro, jazz dance, broken beat, Motown and boogie, through to D&B and Detroit Techno.

Marcia is joined by Brighton legend Russell Ruckman, with whom she’s just released a new compilation, Soul Damn Funky Presents New York Classics Volume 2 on Bassline Records.

Completing the line-up for the afternoon are Brighton Sundae residents D-Novo and Mr Dan, bringing everything from Afrobeat to dirty electronica.

Expect an afternoon of incredible tunes, a mixed crowd of all ages, a great sound system and the famous Brighton Sundae promise of “the friendliest dancefloor in Brighton”
