Chris Ford, known for his sharp wit and infectious charm, brings his Work in Progress show, Jehovahs Witness for the Prosecution, to Brighton Fringe 2026. In this forty-minute set, with an opener from the London queer comedy circuit, Chris blends stories of growing up as a strict Jehovahs Witness with life as an A&E nurse. The result is an honest, heartfelt, and hilarious exploration of identity, belief, and resilience.
Through sharp storytelling and self-deprecating humour, Chris reflects on his teenage years navigating faith, shame, and desire within a world where conformity was demanded and questioning was forbidden. From secret moments of queer awakening to the absurdities of Kingdom Hall life, he delivers comedy that is as emotionally raw as it is laugh-out-loud funny.
