Explore the calming and creative craft of needle felting in this hands-on workshop with fibre artist Trudi Mitchell. This relaxed, small-group session is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of needle felting while giving you the skills and confidence to create beautiful finished pieces.
During the day, you’ll be guided step by step through key needle felting techniques, with plenty of practical time to develop your work and experiment with different fibres.
- Morning Session – Create a hanging Easter bunny, learning how to build form and structure using wool.
- Afternoon Session – Make hanging Easter eggs using beautiful silk fibres, focusing on surface texture and decorative effects.
- Tools & Techniques – Learn how to wrap wool, create a strong core shape, and make and attach body parts without any sewing.
- Felting Needles – Understand the effects and uses of three different felting needles and how to work safely and efficiently with them.
All materials are provided, and the workshop includes tea, coffee, and homemade cake. Free parking is available. Please bring a packed lunch and arrive promptly so you can make the most of the day.
