Rhoda Rocks

About

Join us for a joyful celebration of the life of Rhoda Funnell—artist, friend, Artwave legend and much-loved member of the local community. Held on the riverside at The Sidings, this special fundraising event honours Rhoda in the way she'd have wanted: with music, dancing, laughter and good company, while raising money for the incredible Martlets Hospice, whose community team cared for her at home.

The afternoon begins with family activities including face painting, glitter tattoos and a dance workshop with Bam Bam, before the evening transforms into a riverside disco with DJs, dancing and plenty of fizz. We'll also be launching the 2026 Artwave Festival brochure, celebrating the festival's 33rd year and the remarkable creative community that Rhoda helped nurture for more than two decades. Expect craft beer from ABYSS Brewery, food, a fizz bar and a chance to raise a glass, share memories and celebrate an extraordinary life together.
