SCREED: Supergene enrichment of carbonatite hosted REE deposits is a 3 year project funded by the Natural Environment Research Council, aiming to characterise the mineralogy and geochemistry of the carbonatite weathering zone, patterns of rare earth element enrichment and understand the implications for genetic models, exploration and extraction. The project is now in its final phase and we will be holding a 1 day workshop at the University of Brighton to disseminate results, and to discuss implications and future directions. The event will operate in hybrid mode with upto 37 on site attendees and opportunity to join the meeting online (joining instructions will be circulated closer to the event).
