About
Have you ever wanted to create your own peronalised stained glass piece? We’ll show you how!
Ruth Summers (she/her) has been creating bespoke glass art since 1998 and runs workshops teaching the skills of stained glass where you can create your own small copper foiled stained glass creation or unique sun-catcher which you can take home with you at the end of the day.
Taster Workshop – 3 hour (for 1 or ‘you & a friend’)
Full Day Workshop (for 1 or ‘you & a friend’)
Prior to the workshop we will work together to design your glass piece so your pattern is ready to be brought to life on the day.
We have flexibility on days/times for workshops, daytime, evenings and weekends, so do get in touch.
All workshops include materials, tea, coffee and herbal teas, free on road parking.
For the day workshop we recommend you bring a packed lunch with you or can always pop into the main village for lunch.
Please wear comfortable clothing with flat covered footwear.
Due to the materials used (lead), this course is not suitable for pregnant and lactating mothers.
Please be aware that hot soldering irons are used to join the pieces of glass together.
Most of the creative elements of the stained glass process are completed standing and we have 'bar stool' type chairs in the studio but if you need a lower chair do let me know.
Workshop timings:
Taster workshops start times are flexible to suit.
Day Workshops start times are usually around 9am and we aim to finish around 4-4:30pm. There may be a need to be a little flexible on timings, either finishing your piece a little earlier or if your piece might take a little longer in case your project needs any final tweaks.
