Yoga with Ocean on Rottingdean Terraces

About

A unique opportunity to practice gentle yoga at the iconic Rottingdean Terraces, with a stunning view of the ever-changing sea.

The class

Invites a friendly, light awareness as we practice, and you are welcome to practice as restfully or as dynamically as feels best for you in each moment. A ll levels and abilities are welcome, and no previous experience is necessary.

If you can, please bring a yoga mat (or something weatherproof to sit or lay down on), a blanket (or a bath towel). Please let Ocean know a day in advance if you need to borrow a mat and she is happy to bring a spare.

Please arrive a little early to settle in, do bring water, and wear comfortable clothes suitable for the day we're having.

As the practice is partly outside and partly covered we will endevour to hold the class whatever the weather - however if the forecast is rain we will let you know by 9am on the day of the class if it is cancelled.

Please book if you are planning on coming as we need a minimum number of people for the class to take place. We will let you know by Friday 10am if the class is cancelled for any reason.

The Teacher

Ocean has been loving practicing and exploring yoga for over 26 years, and long before that she was already experiencing a deep fascination in aware movement and release, practices allowing for a possibility of "coming home," of even the tiniest amount of greater freedom in our lives.

She has been teaching Vajrasati Yoga - a joyful and wonderfully accessible style of yoga - outdoors and indoors since 2013, in many local settings, as well as to a lovely international community via Zoom since early 2020.

Rottingdean Beach is one of her happiest places, and she is always thrilled to share yoga and meditation at this wonderful location.

Please let Ocean know of any relevant health situations or conditions, or if you are differently abled in some way, either beforehand at oceanamma@gmail.com, or on the day itself, before class.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may stop or modify any exercise according to your personal needs, comfort and limitations. Please practice within what feels comfortable for you. You are responsible for your own safety and wellbeing during the class

"I always feel so relaxed after class! Like I can take on anything!"*"Ocean's class is a highlight of my week. A time of calm and explorative yoga that can challenge if you want it to, or be more restorative if that is what suits you that day. The class varies each week with a great flow and a variety of postures. Ocean is very responsive to individual needs and delivers the session with professionalism and expertise."
