About
All dogs need a Dog Swim ticket, which gives them access to our 40m (heated) pool, with it's easy access steps, the splash pool with slide & water spouts and lots of grass to run around on within our totally secure site.
If you want to swim with your dog, youll need a human swim ticket, but if you prefer to stand on the poolside and throw a ball (provided), you only need a Spectator ticket. We dont allow children under 16yr in the main pool, for H&S reasons, so children only need a Spectator ticket (theyre welcome, suitably supervised, to go in the splash pool).
You must book a Human ticket (either swimmer or spectator) before the system will allow you to book a Dog ticket.
The lifeguards are only trained for Humans, so you are responsible for your dog.
We have an absolute No Aggression policy (so if either you or your dog snarl at or attack anyone, you'll both be asked to leave - though we've never had a fight yet). And of course, it goes without saying that we expect you to pick up any deposits your dog leaves (there are poo bags on the desk by the entrance if you run out/forget).
Your tickets also include free parking in the Lido car park - just give the name on your tickets to Security.
Please note that the breed/type meet-ups listed are NOT exclusive (merely suggestions if your dog wants to meet, or avoid, certain types). The only sessions strictly regulated are the ones for Small Dogs and Large Dogs.
This event is organised, run & stewarded by volunteers as a fundraiser for the Saltdean Lido Trust, the registered charity behind our Grade 2* Listed lido.
