The Joneses Present the Smiths

About

The Joneses are five passionate musicians, devout Smiths fans, and have become the UK's Premier The Smiths and Morrissey show; bringing the excitement and drama of the live Smiths gigs throughout the UK.

You can expect the haunting guitar riff of How Soon is Now and the recreation of Johnny Marr's fast, jangly picked and arpeggiated guitar parts of This Charming Man, that defined the sound of The Smiths.

The Joneses reproduce original arrangements of all the hit songs and some from the top shelf of Morrissey's solo career. Their setlists are a unique blend of deep cuts, celebrated B-sides and the hits you love to hear. Which include: What Difference Does It Make - Heaven Knows Im Miserable Now - Girlfriend In A Coma - Hand In Glove - Stop Me If You Think Youve Heard This One Before - Ask - Panic - William, It Was Really Nothing - Bigmouth Strikes Again - There Is a Light That Never Goes Out - Please Please Please - Let Me Get What I Want and more.

They stand apart by including a few surprise gems in their sets beloved Smiths and Morrissey tracks that rarely feature in tribute shows but are cherished by fans alike. They also perform a selection of indie cult classics from bands including Echo & the Bunnymen, Talking Heads and The Cure. Theyre excited to play at The Maltings and meet the local Smiths fans who make every show there so memorable. They will bring their own unique take on the music of The Smiths for what promises to be a special night.

The Joneses are driven by the timeless music of The Smiths, loved across every generation and it's the very reason they came together. Their performances capture the raw energy and spirit of The Smiths legendary live shows, creating an unforgettable experience for fans old and new. They love connecting with fellow Smiths fans and drawing the audience into every performance, creating countless special moments where like-minded music lovers come together through the songs they adore. Once seen, never forgotten!

We look forward to seeing you.
