A little quirky, pretty stylish, very friendly, Metrodeco is open for breakfast, lunch and into the early evening – serving coffee, tea, cakes and homemade crumpets as well as a range of gins and cocktails.
The vintage-inspired tearoom specialises in its famous Afternoon Tea and this delightful treat has scooped second or third prizes for “Best Afternoon Tea in Brighton” three years in a row.
Metrodeco’s home-baked scones are acquiring a huge reputation and, as well as baking in-house, the tearoom uses dedicated local bakers for specialist items, like marshmallows and brownies. The menu also boasts delicious vegan and gluten-free options and caters for most dietary requirements.
The new home-made, vegan crumpets menu is a favourite for breakfast and lunch and they come with a variety of toppings. Various sandwiches, savouries and decadent cakes are also available.
For a perfect accompaniment, the extensive tea menu encompasses single origin loose leaf options, including Darjeeling, Silver Needle, Hojicha and Oolongs to satisfy the tea connoisseur. Some customers prefer the intriguing range of blends and infusions designed for those seeking a little adventure.
If you’re celebrating or just fancy a little tipple you will not be disappointed with the range of local and guest gins available and Metrodeco is known across the city for its Classic Cocktail Menu prepared with a tea-infused twist. This is available from 11am and later into the evenings on a Friday and Saturday.
Larger parties are welcome and can be catered for in a private area in the vintage-styled lounge. Whether for an Afternoon tea or meeting or workshop we can accommodate your group . Gin and tea tasting events are available for private and corporate bookings as well as being hosted monthly as a ticketed event.
Fancy a picnic on the beach? Take a Metrodeco hamper of sandwiches, salads, cakes and drinks which you can pre-order and pick up or have delivered to your house or hotel.
Well-behaved pooches and children are also welcome.
To avoid disappointment bookings for Afternoon Tea are advised especially on a weekend.
