Come down to Volk’s Electric Railway this September and celebrate both, Railway 200 and Volk’s Electric Railway’s Association’s 30th anniversary!
Make your way to Volk’s Electric Railway’s workshop forecourt and join VERA in their celebrations for these two momentous occasions! There will be Punch and Judy performances from 11:00am until 15:00pm for you and your family to enjoy. Our Viewing Gallery will be exclusively opened for this event, here you can watch the engineers at work, view our scale model of Volk’s Electric Railway and how the track looked in the past, VERA will also be on-site for questions about the railway and association’s history.
If that’s not enough our heritage trains will be illuminated and operating a late-night running service until 9pm (weather permitting). Take in the beauty of Brighton’s beach front at sunset and twilight, whilst traveling on The World’s Oldest Operating Electric Railway.
